Borderlands Poetry & Reading Series

In collaboration with the Marshall Chair of Modern and Contemporary Poetry

ASU’s MFA Poetry candidates are deeply engaged in radical pedagogy and the ways generous instruction transforms their classrooms and the literary communities they are a part of. Guests are chosen by our MFA Poetry students who also shape the structure of the engagements—readings, conversations, craft talks, ateliers, salons, art lessons, zine-making, etc. Our students bring to ASU and the larger Phoenix community some of the most imaginative and rigorous writers and performers engaging with the implications of our myriad borders.

This series is a collaboration with the Maxine and Jonathan Marshall Chair in Modern and Contemporary Poetry, ASU’s MFA Poetry candidates, and is led by the CIB’s graduate Artistic Development and Research Assistant.
